Focal SUB 30 KXE dual sealed down fire wide enclosure, 12-inch, with 0.858 cubic feet of net airspace at a system Qtc of 0.804 and an anechoic F3 of 45.3 Hz.
At Qtc 0.804 the response rises slightly before it rolls off. In a trunk or cab that reads as weight on kick drums rather than boom.
Firing into the floor, the sealed rolloff meets rising cabin gain below about 60 Hz, so in-car extension runs below the anechoic figure above.
Down-firing puts the cone against the floor: protected from whatever rides in the trunk, with a usable flat top. The wide format spreads the volume across the trunk rather than back into it, keeping depth short.
Construction: 3/4-inch MDF with a double-layer 1.5-inch front baffle, the outer layer recessed so the driver sits flush, V-groove and dado joinery at the panel seams. Carpeted in black, polyfill pre-installed and pre-wired terminal cup fitted.
Check your driver's mounting depth against the 6.77-inch figure in the specifications. Each driver has its own sealed chamber. The published figures are for the dual 4 ohm versions of the driver. If you are between two drivers, send both model numbers and we will tell you which one this volume suits.
