Focal SUB 30 KXE dual sealed wedge enclosure, 12-inch, with 1.25 cubic feet of net airspace at a system Qtc of 0.71 and an anechoic F3 of 44.6 Hz.

At a Qtc of roughly 0.7 the box is critically damped. Nothing is added at the knee, the rolloff is gentle, and in a vehicle the cabin does the rest below about 60 Hz.

Wedge enclosures follow the seat-back angle and fire rearward into the trunk, which acts as an acoustic extension of the box.

Construction: 3/4-inch MDF with a double-layer 1.5-inch front baffle, the outer layer recessed so the driver sits flush, V-groove and dado joinery at the panel seams. Carpeted in black, polyfill pre-installed and pre-wired terminal cup fitted.

Check your driver's mounting depth against the 6.77-inch figure in the specifications. Each driver has its own sealed chamber. The published figures are for the dual 4 ohm versions of the driver. If you are between two drivers, send both model numbers and we will tell you which one this volume suits.
